ABOUT KIRKLISTON COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Kirkliston Community Council helps to represent the views of the community of Kirkliston at both City of Edinburgh Council and national levels.
We meet on the last Tuesday of every month, at 7:00pm at the Library on Station Road. However, we do not hold meetings in July and December.
What we do:
Provide a link between the community and City of Edinburgh Council
Work with local councillors
Bring pressure to bear on the council and other bodies on a variety of local issues, such as traffic, street lighting, street cleansing, education, health, licensing, etc.
Comment and contribute on local and national transport issues
Comment on local planning applications
Liaise with the local police
Represent Kirkliston on the Almond Neighbourhood Partnership
Represent Kirkliston at the Edinburgh Association of Community Councils
Represent Kirkliston at the Scottish Association of Community Councils
Liaise with Edinburgh Airport
Organise Santa’s Xmas Eve tour of the village
Support Kirkliston Gardening Club and the annual Flower Show
